Brett Honeycutt (on left) former sportswriter with The Charlotte Observer,
volunteered many long hours to help format and post results and photos on
this site. Brett has an incredible knowledge of North Carolina high school
sports, particularly track and cross country, and helped immensely in
researching historical stats and also to maintain various all-time lists.

This photo was taken at the 1999 Great American Cross-Country Festival in
Charlotte. On the right is John Dye, who created Dyestat.Com, which has
provided a decade and more of excellent national coverage of high school
track & field and cross country.

John's starting a website devoted to high school track/xc back in the early
days of the Internet, motivated me to launch a similar site for North Carolina in 1997.
